Time to break out the tin foil hats

I did not read all details, but if we are simulating an EMP event, prolly no modern radios will work. Guess it really will be a blackout!

On the positive side, if Ron does not get those antennas in his head removed before the event, he might get a real charge out of it!

Well that doesn't make a lot of sense.  Schedule a black out drill on the very same day that Thugs R Us is planning massive riots across the USA.  I think Trump has a little more swamp draining to do yet.

According to The National Association for Amateur Radio (ARRL) elements of the US Department of Defense (DOD) will simulate a  ‚Äúcommunications interoperability‚ÄĚ training exercise across the United States on November 04-06. The announcement released on October 24 has not been widely distributed to the media, because the drill is simulating a total grid collapse and could spark public fear.

It seems that the new release of FLDIGI is pretty stable. Playing with it the other day and plugged and unplugged speaker/mic cables and did NOT have to reboot.

Also - just ordered Easy-Digi for my HF Icom rig. Will let you know how it works. There seem to be a lot of digital-data nets, might be fun to tam into them.

Perhaps an on site inspection of the repeater and a meeting of both clubs board of directors to discuss the feasibility , cost , man hours equipment etc. a Joint venture with Suwannee club is a great Idea..
