My 50' tilts down without problems. I have a utility pole that brackets the tower and provides the cabling for dropping or lifting.
Your can see it when you attend our "Get to Know One Another" outing on the 7th.

I need to know if the tower is still available, the location, and how much time do we have. I have a crew of four ready to move on it. TNX for letting us know about it.

I know of a ham radio tower you can have for free, but you must act fast and take it down yourself.  I would like one section from it you can have the rest.  It is galvanized and looks in good condition.

If you want it contact me by calling 352-317-8280.

This would be good for a new ham needing equipment.

I have made more than 20 yagi antennas for 2 meters and 1 for 6 meters and found that the gamma match was the easiest to tune and construct. I still have 8 aluminum and stainless gamma matchs left over from classes antenna construction class I had about 15 yrs ago.  The grounded metal elements were the simplest to make.
I used u channel aluminium stock and 1" square fiberglass stock for 3 of them.

I would be very cautious about trying to tilt a 50 foot tower.  At one time Rhon towers said that 30 feet is the max for Rohn 25.  Is this Rohn 20 or Rhon 25?  I suggest you do a search on tilting towers.  One suggestion I saw was to pace a telephone or power pole next to the tower and connect tables and pulleys at the 20 foot level.  Also type of antenna(s) you plan on putting up there is a factor.
